Lots of my work I do from home, or with museums who are within a days journey. Last month though, I seemed to be out and about a lot, working with clients a bit further afield.

I’ve been busy:

• Helping set up a digitisation project in Cornwall
• Data conversion, documentation set up and training in Wales
• A strategy away day in London

Balancing out the wrangling of travel and overnight accommodation comes the real joy of getting into new museums, meeting the staff and volunteers face to face and helping people on their collections journeys.

More of the same to come next month as I venture up into Cambridgeshire to deliver some training.
