Somehow Christmas is less than 3 weeks away! How did that happen?
It’s a time of year when museums pull out all the stops to put on special events to brighten the season and welcome visitors. I thought I’d do a quick roundup of what is on offer at some of the museums I’ve been involved with this year. There is everything from book clubs to concerts, Christmas tree festivals to 17th century re-enactments! Quite a few are this weekend (9th/10th Dec) so you might need to hurry.
Together they show the great ingenuity of museum folk and that our museums are so much more than just storehouses of history – real community assets.
If you go to one of these events or something else local to you have a wonderful time and enjoy the festive season.
