I had the great pleasure recently of attending the launch of the Wiltshire’s Story in 100 Objects exhibition at The Wiltshire Museum in Devizes. It brought back memories of early planning meetings about if and how this project might work, who would be involved and most importantly of all, which 100 objects. The end result looks great, with objects from the spectacular (Medieval Lacock Cup) to the more mundane (butter pats from Purton) all of which together weave a fantastic story of Wiltshire. Well done to all the team who made the project happen – a great showcase for Wiltshire museums working together. The exhibition runs in Devizes until 16 July so plenty of time to call in.
