Exciting times for the volunteers at Chard Museum, who this weekend (Sat 30th April) will be celebrating their new status as owners of their museum. After much work, planning and fundraising ownership of the site has passed from South Somerset District Council to the Chard & District Museum CIO.

A big milestone but very much only the beginning as all sorts of opportunities now present themselves for what the museum does next. Lots of potential and exciting ideas to explore.

Well done to all the team for achieving this major milestone and looking forward to the next chapter.
