Arundells – Heritage Fund success

Arundells, Salisbury

A huge well done to the team at Arundells in Salisbury, who have been successful in securing a grant of just under £100,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The money will be used to carry out 12 months of extensive activity to help ensure Arundells is ‘Fit for the Future’. They will be developing and trialling activities and events, from a community garden to music lessons and workshops, to open up the home of former Prime Minister, Sir Edward Heath, to a wider, more diverse audience. Excitingly, most activity will be carried out in partnership with other organisations from across Salisbury and Wiltshire who have never thought of visiting Arundells before.

It’s been a pleasure to work with Arundells on this application and I look forward to watching the project progress and see more people discover what lies behind those big metal gates on Salisbury Cathedral Close.
